Life-changing support!

Seriously, Digital Addicts Anonymous is incredible! I joined some online meetings and it was just what I needed. The community forums are super supportive too. I found the digital sobriety resources truly impactful. I'm telling everyone I know about this. They've made a real difference!

Always a great resource

I've been coming back to Digital Addicts Anonymous for a while now, and they're always consistent. The recovery literature is really helpful, just like it was with my first few orders. This time I got some new daily meditations, and they've been solid. Good to know I can always rely on them for support.

Good online meetings

I checked out some of the online meetings last week. It was pretty easy to get on, and the folks there were nice. It felt like a good, supportive space. I'll probably go back when I need to.

Valuable and accessible support

I was looking for some free resources for digital sobriety and found DAA. I downloaded some of the recovery literature and joined an open meeting. It didn't cost anything, which was great for me right now. The guidance offered in the literature and the meeting really felt like good value, especially since it was all freely available. Definitely worth checking out if you're on a budget but need support.

Comprehensive and supportive

My experience with Digital Addicts Anonymous was very positive. I initially found a meeting through their website's meeting schedule, which was clear and easy to navigate. I attended a video meeting, and the connection was stable, and the facilitator was welcoming. I also explored the recovery tools section and downloaded a step working guide; it's well-structured and easy to understand. I reached out to support once with a question about sponsorship, and received a helpful response within 24 hours. The whole process felt well-organized and genuinely aimed at helping people.

just checking, is there any cost for joining or attending meetings? or for any of the literature, like the step guides?

C Carol 3 weeks ago
No cost for anything really. It's all free, they just take voluntary contributions at meetings if you want to chip in.

Nope, completely free. You can download the literature for free too. It's pretty cool how they operate on contributions only.

hey, trying to find a meeting tonight but not sure what the difference between open and closed means. Does it matter for a first-timer?

R Rachel T. 2 days ago
Closed meetings are usually for people who ID as having the problem, and open ones are for anyone, like if a family member wanted to come along. For a first-timer, either is fine but sometimes closed feels a bit more intimate if you're comfortable with that.

yeah, most people start with open meetings, just to get a feel for it. You can always check out a closed one later if you like the vibe.

Are there any apps or anything to find meetings? Or is it all through the website?

K Kyle Jones 1 week ago
I just use the website for meeting schedules, it's pretty straightforward. Haven't seen an official app myself.

No official app, afaik. The website's pretty mobile-friendly though, so it works okay on your phone for finding stuff.

Is DAA legit or just another online thing? How does it stack up against something like Internet and Tech Addiction Anonymous?

J Jeff Wright 1 week ago
It's legit. Been around for a while and uses the 12-step model, which has helped tons of people with other addictions. I think it's pretty similar to ITTA, just different fellowships.

They both follow the 12-step path. DAA feels like it has a pretty solid community, that's been my experience. It's more about the specific group you find, sometimes.
